Reflections
This was the first full release I was able to be on, from the start. Early on, I was tapped with another designer to reinvent Destiny's open world approach. We were able to maintain a lot of the familiar, but inject fresh gameplay and systems that were huge improvements.
After transitioning to Destiny 2 Live efforts, I found myself working with a new director. We didn't work well together (he's since been exited from the company for other dubious engagements), and - after Bungie shuffling me around a bit - I ultimately exited Bungie because I felt like I was floating, and they simply had no plan for me.
I grew my perspective and insights on Halo, and ultimately returned to Destiny 2, able to take on the role of Design Director for Expansions. This was another great area of growth and execution for me; I'm incredibly proud of the team & the projects we were able to drive, despite some interesting approaches not always landing.
